Overview

Wondros is a global creative agency that designs and builds innovative digital solutions for mission-driven organizations. As Director of Technology, focused on digital products and innovation, I led the strategic transformation of Wondros’ digital infrastructure, overseeing enterprise-level web applications, cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud-based platform integrations to enhance operational efficiency, security compliance, and
cross-functional collaboration.

Challenges

When I joined Wondros, the company faced several key challenges:

  • Fragmented Digital Ecosystem: Multiple tools and platforms were being used without seamless integration, leading to inefficiencies.

  • Content Management Bottlenecks: With over 1,600+ partners relying on digital assets, content workflows lacked structure and scalability.

  • Cybersecurity Risks: Security policies were not fully aligned with industry standards, posing risks for compliance and data protection.

  • Scalability Limitations: The existing infrastructure was not optimized for growth, leading to performance bottlenecks.

Approach & Solution

To address these challenges, I led a multi-phase digital transformation initiative, ensuring technology aligned with business goals:

1. Team Building & Workflow Structure Development

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Led and scaled multidisciplinary teams across Product, UX, DevOps, Security, and IT, fostering a culture of trust, agility, self-sufficiency, and problem-solving.

Agile Workflows: Standardized scalable workflows, enhancing cross-team communication, transparency, and efficiency in project execution.

Process Optimization: Developed SOPs and governance frameworks, enabling smoother digital operations and ensuring compliance with security and data protection policies.

Enterprise CMS Deployment: Architected and deployed Drupal and WordPress CMS solutions to support scalable content strategies, improving content accessibility for internal and external stakeholders. In addition to robust cloud-based architectures and microservices.

Tech Stack Consolidation: Conducted a full technology audit, eliminating redundant tools and optimizing software licensing across the agency.

Automation & AI Integration: Leveraged AI-powered tools and automation solutions to reduce manual workload, accelerate deployment cycles, and improve data-driven decision-making.
